Kinguin unveiled the first details of Kinguin Legends

Polish esports and gaming company Kinguin has revealed the first details about the upcoming Kinguin Legends event, a CS:GO tournament featuring well-known players. Former professional esports players including pashaBiceps, NEO, Edward, HeatoN, kennyS and Maikelele will form their own teams and compete for a share of the €50,000 prize pool this September.

Kinguin is best known for its video game and e-commerce platform, and hosts a training bootcamp in Warsaw, the Kinguin Esports Performance Center. In addition, the company also owns the Kinguin Esports Lounge in Gdansk, and has sponsored teams and fielded CS:GO and Dota 2 rosters in the past.

pashaBiceps, former pro player and one of the members of Kinguin Legends: "I am very excited to be involved in the Kinguin Legends project. This is a great initiative that will definitely allow us to feel the emotions associated with the great CS:GO scene again. I look forward to fighting with NEO, Edward, HeatoN, kennyS and Maikelele It's going to be a great show!"

Kinguin describes Kinguin Legends as an entertainment-focused tournament that aims to bring former sports legends back to the competitive scene. Each of the participating players will invite other players to participate, but all players must be over 26 years of age. Organizers also noted that the rules will be changed to highlight captains and focus on old rivalries.

pashaBiceps and NEO are a Polish duo famous for their Virtus.pro championship five. Together, esportsmen became winners of big tournaments, including ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014.

Edward is one of the founders of Natus Vincere. Together with the Born to Win, the Ukrainian became the champion of StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7 and CS:GO Asia Championships 2018.

Maikelele is one of the former stars of Ninjas in Pajamas. The 31-year-old sniper has many victories in the TIER-1 championships.

HeatoN is a renowned player and coach in CS 1.6. The Swede has a long history of victories with Ninjas in Pajamas and SK Gaming.

kennyS is a former G2 Esports player who has won numerous tournaments throughout his career. At the same time, at the peak, the Frenchman was considered one of the coolest snipers in history.
