ESL representatives made a video that can be safely called a collection of memorable moments from the best times of Astralis' CS: GO roster. It includes highlights from both Andreas 'Xyp9x' Hoislet and Lucas 'gla1ve' Rossander, who are currently on the roster, and Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen and Emil 'Magisk' Rafe who have become inactive. Of course, there were also moments of Nikolai 'device' Ridtz, who left for NiP, and a tribute was paid to the retired Marcus 'Kjaerbye' Kjerbai, who became the MVP of ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017.

Astralis became the first club in the world to achieve success in four Major Tour Nirs. It is noteworthy that three of them were won in a row. First, the team won the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, after which they performed rather mediocre at PGL Major Krakow 2017, where they took 3-4 place. The first such tournament of 2018, ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018, was disappointing for Astralis fans, as the Danes took 12-14 places there. After the departure of Kjaerbye and the arrival of Magisk, the team played with renewed vigor and the next three Major championships were taken in a row: FACEIT Major London 2018, Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Katowice Major 2019 and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.

On December 9, 2018, with a victory at ESL Pro League Season 8 - Finals, the team managed to become the first winner of the Intel Grand Slam. The esports players received a $ 1,000,000 bonus and engraved gold bars. Five players became the first esports players in the shooter discipline to break the $ 1,000,000 mark in prize money.

Kjaerbye's departure was a blow to fans. Markus Kierbay at the beginning of Ferval 2018 decided to go to the North, which ceased to exist three years later. In June of this year, he announced that he "hung up the mouse and keyboard on a nail" and will now completely stop playing as a professional gamer. Magisk, who replaced him, made the “red star” shine even brighter. In 2021, the results of Astralis left much to be desired and Nikolay 'device' Ridtz suddenly set off for all fans to conquer new heights in NiP. As the main reason, he named the desire to change the situation, and, as everyone knew, he himself lived territorially in Sweden, which created discomfort in cooperation with Astralis, based in Denmark.

At the moment, the era of Astralis is over, and if the former glory returns to the ranks of the “red stars”, it will be with completely different players. Only Xyp9x and gla1ve remained from the gold line-up. It is noteworthy that there were many rumors on the Internet about the departure of both esportsmen. The players were also in a state of emotional burnout, which confirms the likelihood of their departure from Astralis in the future, albeit not very soon.

Also, don't forget about legendary coach Denny 'zonic' Sorensen, who has put a lot of work into developing a team that has achieved such heights. He also served as a substitute in tournaments such as IEM Oakland 2017 and ESL Pro League Season 5 in place of Nikolai 'device' Ridtz. Zonic went intoactive on November 4th with dupreeh and Magisk.

Now Astralis has six players and a coach under the banner. Astralis roster looks like this:

  • Andreas 'Xyp9x' Hoislet
  • Lucas 'gla1ve' Rossander
  • Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen
  • Philip 'Lucky' Ewald
  • Christian 'k0nfig' Vinecke
  • Benjamin 'blameF' Bremer
  • Alexander 'ave' Holdt
