Riot Games Announces Major Harbor Rework in Valorant
Riot Games has revealed that Harbor, one of Valorant’s most unique controllers, is getting a significant rework aimed at making him more versatile and impactful in matches. Nearly all of his abilities are being reimagined to give players better tools for map control and team coordination.
Updated Abilities
High Tide (E)
Harbor’s signature water wall remains part of his kit, but it’s getting a major usability upgrade. Players will now be able to adjust its trajectory with their crosshair and cancel it early if needed. Enemies who pass through the wall will still be slowed, preserving its utility for cutting off sightlines and controlling pushes.
Storm Surge (Q)
Replacing Cascade, this entirely new ability allows Harbor to throw an orb that blinds enemies upon impact and slows anyone caught in its zone. The redesign makes him more effective in both offense and defense, giving teams an additional crowd-control option.
Cove (C)
Cove now functions as a placeable smoke orb that can be reactivated to gain a bulletproof shield. Although the shield can be destroyed, this change provides Harbor with a more flexible way to block enemy fire and create temporary safe zones for planting or defusing.
Reckoning (X)
Harbor’s new ultimate sends out a massive wave of water that blinds and slows enemies in its path. This powerful crowd-control ability strengthens his role as a space-controlling initiator during critical team fights.
The overhaul represents one of the most substantial reworks in Valorant’s recent history, positioning Harbor as a more dynamic and impactful agent capable of shaping the battlefield in entirely new ways.
