The media reports that in 2024, American organizations are planning to reduce expenses on VALORANT teams
Several organizations from North America that collaborate with Riot Games are planning to reduce their expenses related to maintaining VALORANT teams. This information has been presented by the Win.GG portal, citing its own sources.
According to the obtained information, Cloud9 and 100 Thieves intend to lower player payouts, resulting in some of them receiving minimum allowable salaries.
Sentinels, also a partner of Riot Games in this region, has already encountered financial difficulties. The organization's monthly expenditures for player salaries and content creation amount to $700,000. In case additional funding cannot be secured, the organization might be forced to cease its operations in a few months.
Likely, the situation with the clubs might improve after the introduction of the possibility to sell team skins in VALORANT. The generated revenue will help partially cover the expenses of maintaining teams for these organizations. However, the exact timing of the appearance of these skins in the game remains unknown.
