TSM is ready to acquire the OpTic Gaming roster if it gets into the partner league
According to insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization TSM intends to acquire the OpTic Gaming roster if it gets a slot in the American partner league for the next competitive season. However, the club may face additional difficulties, the first of which is the existence of valid contracts for a number of players in the squad.
Yay and Marvel are currently under long-term contracts with OpTic Gaming.
Both teams are aiming to partner with Riot Games in the American League for next season, starting in mid-February 2023. At the moment, none of the organizations has received any guarantees from the organizers. Unless TSM becomes a partner, it is unlikely that players will join the organization.
In turn, the organization OpTic Gaming wants to re-sign the team because the respective contracts of Victor and crashies expire during VALORANT Champions 2022, which is due to end on September 18th. However, it is unlikely that the core of the team will remain in OpTic Gaming after the end of the championship.
OpTic Gaming is the strongest North American on the scene. During its existence (previously the team played under the Team Envy tag), the roster became the winner of Cloud9 To The Skyes, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 2 and VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, and also got into the TOP-3 according to the results of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin and VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen.
The American League will feature ten teams, most of which will be from North America, while Brazil and Latin America will complete the roster. The championship will be played in the LAN format of Los Angeles in the USA, so teams from South and Latin America will need to relocate.
An announcement for the teams that will receive a partner slot in the league is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
