Riot Games Reveals First Details of Last Chance Qualifiers for East Asia and Asia Pacific

Riot Games has revealed the first details of the Last Chance qualifiers for East Asia (Japan, South Korea, and China) and Asia Pacific (Southeast Asia, Oceania, and South Asia). VALORANT Champions 2022 itself will take place from September 2 to September 18 in Istanbul.

Overall slot distribution for VALORANT Champions 2022:

• North America - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• Brazil + Latin America - 1 (+2 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• EMEA (Europe, CIS and Turkey) - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• Korea + Japan - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• South Asia + Oceania - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: East Asia Last Chance Qualifier

Even before the official announcement, the teams from Japan and South Korea were grouped into one qualifying system. In addition, the organizers have officially added a slot for Chinese teams, realizing their last year's plans, which were disrupted due to logistical problems.

With the top teams from Japan and South Korea going straight to VALORANT Champions 2022, the next three teams from each of the two regions will go to the Last Chance Qualifier. Since there is no VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 in China, the participants of the qualifier will be selected based on the performance of teams in third-party championships.

Slot breakdown for VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: East Asia Last Chance Qualifier:

• Japan - 3 teams.
• South Korea - 3 teams.
• China - 2 teams.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Last Chance Qualifier

At the same time, ten teams from Southeast Asia, Oceania and South Asia will participate in the qualification for the Asia-Pacific region. Nine teams will be selected based on their position in the standings, while the last slot will go to the best team in Oceania.

• Southeast Asia and South Asia - 9 teams.
• Oceania - 1 team.

East Asia (Japan, South Korea, and China) and Asia Pacific (Southeast Asia, Oceania, and South Asia) Last Chance qualifiers will run from August 8-14 and August 1-7, respectively.
