David Denis Suspended as T1 Head Coach
The South Korean esports organization T1 has decided to remove David Denis from the position of head coach of the VALORANT team. The reason for this decision was an incident in the first open qualifier for the VCT 2022 Stage 1 Challengers in North America. The organization made the announcement on its social media.
Recall that a few days ago the match between T1 and TSM was stopped by the coach during the second map. It was later established that David Denis had been communicating with the team during the game, thereby violating the rules of the competition. As a result of the proceedings, T1 received a forfeit defeat and left the qualification.
However, Riot Games allowed T1 to compete in the second open qualifier, which will begin at the end of this week. At the same time, the organization decided to remove David Denis from work, which will be replaced by Stunner.
David Denis joined T1 as head coach last February. During the season, the Canadian specialist brought the team to the semi-finals of the NSG: Winter Championship - Open 14.
The T1 roster for the upcoming qualifier is as follows:
- curry.
- thwifo.
- steel.
- seven.
- pwny.
- Stunner (coach).
