rhyme joined Gen.G Esports
North American esports organization Gen.G Esports has announced changes to its VALORANT roster by inviting rhyme. Previously, the 22-year-old Norwegian esportsman played for the Ninjas in Pajamas team.
rhyme entered the professional scene last April joining Ninjas in Pajamas as a stand-in. A few months later, the Norwegian signed a full contract with the team. Together with the team, the 22-year-old esportsman became the winner of Elite Esports - Rivalry Bowl Europe, GLX Elite: EU, VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 1 and VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 2, and also reached the WePlay semifinals! Invitational, Mandatory.gg Cup, Red Bull Home Ground and VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1.
However, in the fall, the Swedish organization announced a change of course, deciding to focus its efforts on the development of the Brazilian scene. While Ninjas in Pajamas began the process of forming a new squad, all players were transferred to the bench, considering proposals from outside.
In turn, Gen.G Esports ended the lease agreement for Temperature, which returned in November as part of Evil Geniuses. The team now plans to begin preparations for the new season, which will begin in January.
From now on, the roster of Gen.G Esports is as follows:
- gMd.
- Shawn.
- koosta.
- NaturE.
- rhyme.
- Elmapuddy (trainer).
