A Thrilling Tournament Recap

Nigma Galaxy followed suit with a hard-fought Chicken Dinner in the second match, narrowly defeating Indonesia’s VOIN DONKEY in a dramatic 2v1 showdown. Team Spirit claimed their first victory in the third game with a solid haul of eliminations, but it was 4Merical Vibes who stunned the audience in the fourth match with a staggering 23 eliminations. Team Spirit doubled their success with a second win in the fifth game before the day concluded with Dplus seizing the top podium spot thanks to a masterful grenade throw and flank maneuver.
Day two saw a dramatic shake-up in the leaderboard, with Turkey’s Regnum Carya Bra Esports climbing from twelfth to first place. Their success began with a tactical victory in match seven on Sanhok and continued with innovative strategies like vehicle-based assaults. Teams like DRX relied on precision flanks, while INFLUENCE RAGE and Tong Jia Bao also made their mark. By the end of the day, Regnum Carya Bra led the standings, with Dplus and DRX close behind.
As the final day unfolded, the championship was still up for grabs, with the top five teams separated by just a few points. INFLUENCE RAGE kicked off with a Chicken Dinner, followed by victories from Nigma Galaxy and Regnum Carya Bra, each aiming to secure the title. The tension reached its peak in the final match, where unpredictable circle placements and intense clashes brought Dplus and Regnum Carya Bra neck and neck. Ultimately, Dplus clinched the title by taking a strategic defensive position on the hill, edging out their rivals by a single point.

Harame Bro had a promising start, securing a third-place finish in the opening match. However, they struggled to maintain momentum, failing to place within the top 10 for the remainder of the first day’s matches.
On the second day of Group Yellow’s competition, the Filipino team continued to face difficulties, slipping further down the rankings. They managed to secure eighth place in round eight with four elimination points, providing a glimmer of hope for their survival in the tournament.
Despite a notable third-place finish in Round 14, the points accumulated by higher-ranking teams created an insurmountable gap. After 24 intense matches, Harame Bro ended their run in 15th place with a total of 86 points, falling short as only the top 11 teams advanced to the next stage.
Ultimately, Harame Bro concluded their 2024 PMGC campaign ranked joint 41st-43rd overall, earning $21,000 (approximately ₱1.22 million) as a consolation for their efforts.
