The organizers of Gamescom 2026 have confirmed that all exhibition space for this year's event has been fully booked. According to the German Games Industry Association and Koelnmesse, record demand has prompted discussions about expanding the exhibition even further for 2027.

This year's event will feature a wide range of major publishers and developers, including Bandai Namco, CD Projekt Red, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Xbox, Konami, Sega, Tencent Games, HoYoverse, Krafton, Focus Entertainment, and Embark Studios. Visitors can also expect presentations for upcoming titles such as Metro 2039, Songs of the Past for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and many other new releases.

Gamescom Director Tim Endres described the complete sellout as a positive sign for the gaming industry, noting that the exhibition had already expanded its floor space last year. He added that the organizers will continue investing in new formats designed for both business partners and the gaming community.

Felix Falk, Managing Director of the German Games Industry Association (game) and co-organizer of Gamescom, said the 2026 edition is on track to become the largest in the event's history. He highlighted Gamescom Opening Night Live, an expanded Gamescom Awesome Indies showcase, and the debut of Gamescom GDQ, inspired by the charity speedrunning event Games Done Quick, as some of this year's headline attractions.

Gamescom 2026 will take place from August 26 to August 30 in Cologne, Germany. The opening day will be reserved for industry professionals and media, while the remaining days will be open to the public. In addition to game announcements and playable demos, the exhibition will feature panel discussions, cosplay competitions, appearances by content creators, and dedicated community zones for gaming fans from around the world.
