Day 1 has been quite eventful. One team has managed to establish a significant lead over the competition, although a few others are not far behind. With 6 more matches to go, the fight for the title remains wide open.
FNCS Global Championship 2024 Results – Day 1
If you've missed some of the action, one duo has pulled ahead significantly: Peterbot and Pollo. Known as some of the best Fortnite players, they have truly dominated the competition, ending Day 1 with a lead of over 100 points.
However, the race is far from over. Several other squads are quickly gaining ground, with Queasy and Th0masHD currently in second place with 295 points. A big part of their success came from Game 2, where they scored an impressive 105 points, one of the highest single-game totals of the week. In third place, we have Flickzy and Vic, followed closely by Chico and TruleX. While these duos haven't had as flawless a performance, they are still very much in contention for the top spot.
While past FNCS events during Fortnite Chapter 5 have sometimes seen one team run away with the lead by the halfway mark, this year’s International LAN is looking much more competitive. Although one duo is far ahead, the field remains open for others to climb back into contention during Day 2.
Day 2 Could Change Everything
That’s where we stand after Day 1 of the FNCS Global Championship 2024. However, Day 2 brings a significant twist: all points scored will be worth 50% more.
This point multiplier means the leads built on Day 1 will be much harder to defend unless teams can maintain their high level of performance on Day 2. The stakes are higher, and the competition is far from over!
