Gen.G Esports complete the PUBG roster
The management of the esports organization made an interesting announcement on the club's Twitter account. After Pio and Esther retired from their professional PUBG careers, the team has two vacancies. Considering that Yo 'Asura' Sang-won is an inferior player, and first of all a coach and then a player coach, there are three vacancies in the team. This is exactly what the leadership of the organization did, which signed a contract with three players in PUBG.
The club's newcomers are Han 'maczora' Dei-kyu, Lee 'Spear' Dong-su and Seo 'Renba' Jay-young. They all signed contracts today. Before joining Gen.G esports, Maczora played under the ATA tag between January and October. During this time, he managed to win the Battlegrounds Smash Cup Season 4 ($ 16,160), place himself on the 2nd line of the TMC Global Invitational 2021 (~ $ 9,955) and take 5-6 place in PUBG Continental Series 5: Asia (~ $ 18,500), as well as earn many other awards. During his career, which started in September 2018, Maczora has earned $ 18,807 in prize money.
Spear and Renba, in turn, played together as part of GHIBLI Esports from July 2021 to January 2022. They won the Esports Championships East Asia 2021 and AfreecaTV PUBG League: 2021 Fall Season, which earned $ 8,550 and $ 15,000 in prize money, respectively. They finished second at AfreecaTV PUBG League: 2021 Winter Season and received the main prize of $ 8,000. The most important achievement not only during the period of playing for GHIBLI Esports, but in the entire career of esports players can rightfully be considered the 13th place taken at the PUBG Global Championship 2021, one of the largest championships ever held in PUBG with a prize pool of $ 4,340,000. The team, although it could not get into the top 12 participants, nevertheless managed to take away with it a reward of $ 75,810.
Now, with the arrival of three players in Gen.G Esports, it is possible that Asura will start exclusively as a coach.
The PUBG Gen.G Esports roster is as follows:
- On 'Inonix' Hee-ju
- Khan 'maczora' Day-Q
- Lee 'Spear' Dong-su
