SLT say goodbye to three Overwatch players
On Twitter and other social media of the esports club SLT (formerly known as Starlight Gaming), information has appeared about the changes made to the Overwatch roster. The team was left without three players. The team said goodbye to Kim 'November' Gyu-min, Park 'Sungeun' Sung-yeun, and Kwon 'AweWatch' Hong-sin. The squad now has Ju 'EmolGa' Ki-wung, O 'MAKA' Yeun-seok and Kim 'BoonJo' Tei-hyun, a tank and two support players, respectively.
The outgoing troika helped complete the SLT roster on August 20 last year. Over the past four months, they have not performed very well at Overwatch Contenders 2021 Season 2: Korea and Contenders 2021 KR Season 2 - Regular Season. If in the first case the team took 8th place and earned $ 7,000 for the team, then in the case of Contenders 2021 KR Season 2 - Regular Season the players managed to reach the top 4, but they did not receive anything for their efforts.
For a long time, the team did not show itself in any tournaments and the management decided that the team needed changes. The management announced that the contractual agreements were terminated by mutual agreement and wished the players success in their new endeavors.
Current SLT Overwatch roster:
- Joo 'EmolGa' Gi-wung (Tank)
- O 'MAKA' Eun-sek (Support)
- Kim 'BoonJo' Tay-hyun (Support)
