Penalties for inactivity and mid-match exits in League of Legends got tougher
The League of Legends developers have announced that new penalties have been introduced for early withdrawal and inactivity in their MOBA game to avoid degrading the gaming experience. This primarily applies to ranked games.
Many people know that due to the lack of agreement between the players in the solo rating mode, many users leave the matches, thereby ruining the statistics not only for themselves, but also for the four teammates they come across. This happens when players cannot choose the character they need, the desired role, and so on. Sometimes the early exit of a user can occur not only for the above reasons, but also due to technical problems. Riot Games took this factor into account, and therefore the first punishment for the players will be insignificant.
Some players may not leave the match, but simply remain inactive for various reasons, but their negative impact on the game is becoming no less.
Penalties for leaving the match
- First out in 24 hours: 6 minutes account lockout (15 minutes for ARAM) and -3 rating points.
- Second exit in 24 hours: 30-minute account ban and -10 rating points.
- Third exit in 24 hours: 12-hour account ban and -10 rating points.
Penalty for inaction (AFK) during a match
- The first case of AFK: a five-minute account ban and an automatic defeat in the match.
- Second case of AFK: 30-minute account ban and automatic defeat in the match.
- Third case of AFK: two-week account ban and automatic defeat in the match.
