LoL Patch 13.21: Jinx Faces Nerfs as Attack Speed Stacking Gets a Cap
Jinx received some intriguing buffs in LoL Patch 13.20 that allowed her to accumulate her passive attack speed. This made her one of the most powerful champions in the current state of the game.
These slight adjustments enabled her to amass significant attack speed, rendering her nearly unstoppable, as she could swiftly eliminate her opponents. However, in LoL Patch 13.21, Jinx is set to receive some nerfs.
In a recent livestream, Lead Champion Designer Riot August disclosed that they would be imposing a cap on the Jinx passive stack. Instead of having an unlimited stack, it will now be limited to just 5.
Jinx's recent passive state boosted her win rate from 49.8% to 52.10%, and her play rate surged from a mere 5% to 23%, making her one of the most favored champions in the bot lane in just one patch.
At present, Jinx can continuously stack her attack speed and become incredibly potent, particularly during the mid-game, which often results in an easy late-game victory. Riot has decided to intervene due to her overwhelming performance on Summoner's Rift.
RiotAugust unveiled that her passive stacks will now be capped at 5, and attack speed will only accumulate through champion takedowns. The initial stack can still be obtained from towers or dragons.
While this adjustment may slightly reduce Jinx's strength, it was deemed necessary given her dominant presence. It is indeed a nerf, but Jinx is anticipated to remain a formidable champion even in LoL Patch 13.21.
