Chovy joins Gen.G
Gen.G has announced that it has signed a deal with Chovy. The 20-year-old Korean player has spent the last year with Hanwha Life Esports.
Chovy made a name for himself back in 2017, bursting onto the stage with the Gwangju City collective. The next season, the player appeared in the Griffin, with whom he won the KeSPA Cup 2018 and Rift Rivals 2019: LCK vs LPL vs LMS vs VCS.
At the end of 2020, the 20-year-old Korean player moved to the Hanwha Life Esports team, with which he spent an impressive year, finishing second at the LCK Regional Finals 2021, hitting the TOP-3 within the LCK Spring 2021, and also reaching the quarter-finals of the 2021 World Championship.
In turn, Gen.G's roster underwent drastic changes after the World Cup. Since the beginning of the month, Rascal, YoungJae, Clid, Bdd have left the team, as well as part of the coaching staff led by Ggoong and Lyn. However, the team has already announced the signing of Peanut, Doran and Lehends.
