T1 said goodbye to Teddy
T1 has officially said goodbye to Teddy. The 23-year-old Korean player has played for the team since November 2018.
"Today we are parting ways with Teddy by mutual agreement. We truly appreciate his contributions, including 3 LCK championships and participation in the semi-finals at the Worlds. We wish him all the best for the future," theorganization tweeted.
Teddy joined T1 in late 2018 from Jin Air Green Wings. Already in the 2019 season, the player achieved significant heights as part of the team, winning LCK Spring 2019, Rift Rivals 2019: LCK vs LPL vs LMS vs VCS and LCK Summer 2019, as well as reaching the semifinals within the Mid-Season Invitational 2019 and 2019 World Championship.
However, already in the next season, the results of T1 began to decline, since the team was able to win only LCK Spring 2020. At the same time, the team limited itself to the quarterfinals of the Mid-Season Cup 2020, and did not qualify for the next 2020 World Championship.
In 2021, Teddy continued to play for the team despite ongoing difficulties. As a result, the 23-year-old Korean player helped the team to get into the TOP-4 at LCK Spring 2021, as well as take the silver in LCK Summer 2021. Since this result was not enough to get to the 2021 World Championship, the T1 squad began to disintegrate.
As a reminder, Hajin and Stardust left the team earlier.
The current T1 roster is as follows:
- Canna.
- Oner.
- Faker.
- Gumayusi.
- Keria.
- Cuzz.
