Horizon Forbidden West will be released on February 18, 2022

Guerrilla Games has announced the official release date for Horizon Forbidden West. As part of the opening of the gamescom 2021 digital exhibition, the developers called February 18, 2022, the release date for the continuation of their brainchild. Recall that initially Horizon Forbidden West was planned to be released before the end of 2021.

The developers of Guerrilla Games reported that in August the game's development process entered the final stage and that the team was not sure that they would have time to polish Horizon Forbidden West to the desired level of quality by the end of 2021. Therefore, the authors decided to postpone the game for the next year in order not to repeat the mistakes of competitors.

It is reported that pre-orders of Horizon Forbidden West will open on September 2, 2021. In addition, the developers have presented a patch for Horizon Zero Dawn, which adds 60 fps support to the game on the PlayStation 5.

Horizon Forbidden West will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5. The cost of the editions remains unknown.
