Rumors: the budget of the series based on The Last of Us may be 200 million dollars

The series based on The Last of Us caused quite a stir on the network, but rumors and guesses continue to this day. Recently, the Prime Minister of the Province of Alberta in Canada announced that the budget for the series will be 200 million.

The politician refers to information allegedly received from the HBO management. At the same time, according to the same official, this amount will be allocated only for 1 season, and HBO plans to make the adaptation of The Last of Us a long-running project for at least 8 seasons.

So far, no confirmation from HBO has followed, but the rumors are not unfounded. Previously, there were rumors on the net about huge budgets for one episode.

The project based on The Last of Us is likely to see the light of day in 2022. The pilot will be directed by Kantemir Balagalov, with Bella Ramsay and Pedro Pascal starring.
