A few weeks ago, interesting information from a group of hackers surfaced on the net. The hacker group Empress said that Denuvo's anti-piracy defense "slows down" Resident Evil Village - because of it, freezes appear when killing enemies and noticeably sags the frame rate when Dimitrescu's daughters appear.
Capcom could not ignore such a loud statement, and therefore promised to tackle the problem. It took some time to troubleshoot, but now you're done.
A patch has been released for Resident Evil Village on PC that optimizes Denuvo. At the same time, FidelityFX Super Resoulution technology has been implemented, allowing for more resolution at high frame rates.
