Electronic Arts, which produces Need for Speed games, have announced that they will end the lives of some of their arcade games. We are talking about titles such as Need for Speed Carbon, NFS Undercover, NFS Shift, NFS Shift 2 Unleashed and NFS The Run. Games have already begun to be withdrawn from sale, and by the fall of 2021, the developers want to completely disable the servers that support the online component of game projects.

This decision was attributed to the declining level of online and overall popularity. The company wants to free up the necessary resources to use them in the development of the racing series.

Games are no longer in stores, and online services will be disabled on the last day of summer, August 31st.

The latest full-fledged game from the developer studio was Need for Speed Heat, which went on sale in November 2019. If we take into account the remasters, then in November 2020 Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered was released.
