Ubisoft postponed the release of DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Ubisoft has decided to postpone the release of the first story-driven DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Wrath of the Druids. Ubisoft announced this on its Twitter, stating that the add-on will not be released on April 29, but on May 13.
Ubisoft also promised to release an official statement soon, in which the developers will explain in more detail the true reasons for the delay in the release of the add-on. Whether the shift in the release date of the first DLC will affect the second is unknown.
Note that in the "Wrath of the Druids" add-on, players will travel to Ireland to enlist the support of the Gaelic kings and challenge the mysterious cult "Children of Danu". In the story, the local rulers use the Norwegians as mercenaries, to whom, apparently, Eyvor should join.
In addition, a new type of forts will appear in the DLC, which opponents, apparently, will be able to fight back, as well as, probably, a new branch of the cult, about which practically nothing is known so far. Many game mechanics are also expected to be reworked, including combat with the use of two types of weapons at once. It is expected that the listed changes will be available to all game owners for free.
Recall that Assassin's Creed Valhalla was released in November 2020 simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
