Rockstar sped up downloads in GTA Online

Rockstar Games has released a new update 1.53 for Grand Theft Auto V, which brings faster loading times to GTA Online on PC, as well as several new modes of transport.

Rockstar Games representatives added that the update was based on a recent fix from a programmer under the nickname t0st. The user noticed that heavy load sessions in GTA Online were associated with inefficient processing of data about the current state of the game world.

With the new patch, GTA Online has also improved connectivity across all platforms. Together with fixes from t0st, this allowed to reduce the download duration to 2-3 minutes instead of the previous 6-8.

Note that for discovering the cause of the problem, the programmer received $ 10 thousand. Usually Rockstar Games awards only users who report technical vulnerabilities, but in this case the studio made an exception.
