Recently Electronic Arts postponed the release of the new Need for Speed until 2022. The company doesn't want the racing game to compete with another high-profile game due out in 2021.
Of course, this is Battlefield 6. It looks like the game will really be huge, as the studio Criterion, responsible for the development of Need for Speed, will now help DICE with the release of the sixth Battlefield.
In addition, another racing game from Codemasters, which was recently taken over by EA, is slated for release this year. Internal competition between the two EA racing games is also unnecessary.
