The scarcity cannot be avoided - GeForce RTX 3060 still allows mining
Protecting the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 video card from being used for mining turned out to be useless in practice, as evidenced by a video by blogger CryptoLeo on YouTube.
The blogger tested the new product from NVIDIA on ten cryptocurrency mining algorithms and compared it with the results of the RTX 3060 Ti, where there is no protection against mining. It turned out that at least two cryptocurrencies - CFX and Cortex - still allow you to make a big profit, equal to $ 6-7 per day.
A significant difference in performance is observed only when mining Etherium - it was from its mining that NVIDIA was declared to be protected. The hash rate on this algorithm is approximately equal to the GTX 1060 and half that of the RTX 3060 Ti.
According to CryptoLeo, he purchased the graphics card for $ 800, while the recommended price for the GeForce RTX 3060 is $ 330. Note that the video card should appear on the shelves on February 25th.
