Burning Crusade for WoW Classic, Diablo II: Resurrected, Blizzard Arcade Collection & More Announcements from BlizzConline Opening Ceremony
On the night of February 20, the BlizzConline opening ceremony took place. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held online and the Blizzard anniversary turned out to be a little crumpled, but we received a portion of announcements, no matter what.
Blizzard arcade collection
In its thirtieth birthday, Blizzard decided to send players into the far, far away. The Blizzard Arcade Collection was announced at the opening ceremony.
The Arcade Collection includes three of the company's classics: The Lost Vikings, Rock'N'Roll Racing, and Blackthorne. The collection is already available for purchase on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and users who bought virtual tickets will receive it for free.
Chains of Domination for Shadowlands and Burning Crusade for Classic
The first major content update is released for the current version of World of Warcraft. In Chains of Dominance, the Lich King himself returned, but now in the person of Anduin.
Continuing the nostalgia theme, Blizzard has unveiled the Burning Crusade expansion for the classic World of Warcraft. The add-on will be released during 2021, but everyone can stay on the vanilla servers if they want.
New class in Diablo IV and Diablo II: Resurrected
Although there was little news about the fourth Diablo, it was still. They showed a new class (robber), and also showed a short cut of the gameplay.
The second block of announcements in the Diablo universe was the return of the classic. Before the end of the year, Diablo II remaster will be released for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Switch with the subtitle Resurrected, which can already be pre-ordered on Battle.net.
New expansion and mode for Hearthstone
Blizzard hasn't forgotten about Hearthstone either. As part of the BlizzConline Opening Ceremony, the new Forged in Barrens expansion was announced, as well as the new Hearthstone Mercenaries mode.
Finally, the classic format was announced for Hearthstone. It will have its own ranking system and rewards.
