Control will drop into PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in February

The developers at Remedy are gearing up for the release of Control on the next generation console. Together with the publisher from 505 Games, the studio has presented a new video dedicated to the next-gen version of the game.

On next-generation consoles, Control will have several modes. Performance mode will allow you to play at a stable 60 FPS, while Graphics will add support for ray tracing at 30 frames per second.

However, the release is overshadowed by the game's distribution policy. Owners of copies for PS4 and Xbox One will not receive a free update to the next-gen version. It will only be available for free to those who have purchased the Control Ultimate Edition. Release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series is scheduled for February 2, 2021.
