The first reviews of Immortals: Fenyx Rising from Ubisoft appear
The Ubisoft Games Festival continues in the final months of 2020. This time, journalists and game critics got their hands on Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
At the time of publication, the Ubisoft Sandbox has 77 Metacritic points. This is not a bad indicator, considering that there were no excessively high expectations from Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Now, some specifics.
It's worth starting with the fairly obvious: almost all reviewers point out that Immortals: Fenyx Rising is too similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Basically, the project from Ubisoft borrows game mechanics from Zelda like levitation of objects and short flights in the air. Also, Fenyx Rising is replete with various riddles, the process of solving which is painfully familiar from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild.
However, Immortals Rising still does not turn into a copy. So, for example, Ubisoft paid a lot of attention to the combat system. Here the main emphasis is on the dynamism and speed of battles, as well as on counterattacks and dodges.
Finally, tasks set the point in the "normality" of the game. Reviewers note that Immortals: Fenyx Rising has some really exciting open-world missions, but sometimes they get lost in the background of a very faded main plot.
