China to introduce government regulation of broadcasting standards
Recently, the Chinese government's division that sets standards for the media (radio, film, television, etc.) spoke about the new rules that will be adhered to by employees of the above employment areas.
Now, large broadcasts related to Internet commerce must notify government agencies of their plans for the broadcast. In addition, there will be some restrictions on purchases. For example, people under the age of majority will be deprived of the ability to make payments, and the amount that the Chinese can spend during the broadcast will be limited.
Recently, there was a scandal in China related to such broadcasts. The stream company was accused of boosting views, which in itself is a deception of its advertisers, and therefore dishonest earnings. On the other hand, after this conflict, it was not this platform that suffered more, but sellers from Aliexpress and Alibaba. This move could be a deliberate attack towards the aforementioned companies. As a result of this conflict, Ant Group's ongoing IPO round has not been as efficient as Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, expected.
