There is never too much battle royale
It would seem that the general hype around the royal battles came to naught a few years ago, but it was not there. The developers of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition decided to get their own battle royale.
And they decided to do it on the first birthday of the game. The principle of the battle royale mode in Age of Empires II remains the same - you need to remain the last survivor, but the specifics of the genre make their own adjustments to the well-established concept of battle royals with weapons and vehicles.
In Age of Empires II we will be offered a limited supply of units, thanks to which we need to capture buildings. In turn, buildings are divided into resource and military. Obviously, the first are needed in order to have something to hire units from the second. Of course, buildings can be won back from other players.
As in standard battle royale, the game time will be limited by a constantly narrowing circle. The maximum match time is 30 minutes. After a half-hour mark on the timer, there will be no free space on the card.
All developers are planning to add 5 maps for the battle royale mode. Along with this, Age of Empires II: Definite Edition will celebrate the first anniversary with an event and even more innovations.
