The Embracer Group, which already owns a number of well-known studios, has decided to expand its influence in the video game industry by acquiring another company. The Swedish conglomerate acquired the creators of Shadow Warrior, Flying Wild Hog studio for $ 137.2 million.

While Flying Wild Hog is mostly known for the Shadow Warrior, the developers have huge potential. The company is currently in the process of producing four projects that will begin shipping at the beginning of the next fiscal year. Among these projects is Shadow Warrior 3, which was announced this summer.

However, the purchase of only the Polish studio Embracer Group was not limited to. Other studios acquired by the Swedes:

  • A Thinking Ape Entertainment;
  • Coffee Stain North;
  • IUGO Mobile Entertainment;
  • Mad Head Games;
  • Purple Lamp Studios;
  • Quantic Lab;
  • Sandbox Strategies;
  • Zen Studios.

Previously, the conglomerate already included THQ Nordic, Saber Interactive, Koch Media, DECA Games, Gufire Games and several other studios.
