Honda to use Twitch to unveil new car prototype
Honda has developed a prototype for the new Civic model. In order to reach as large an audience as possible, the Japanese auto company decided to host a live presentation on Twitch. According to management, the shown Civic will be the prototype for future Honda vehicles.
The stream is scheduled for November 17. The broadcast will include both a presentation of a prototype car and a performance by YBN Cordae. The latter received the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. In addition, the broadcast will delight the part of the audience that loves Fortnite. As part of the stream, a promo tournament for this game will be held with the participation of four e-sportsmen and four streamers.
Since the beginning of last year, Honda has moved even closer to the world of esports when it announced a sponsorship deal with Team Liquid. In addition, the Japanese carmaker is a sponsor of the North American League of Legends LCS.
Carrying out a presentation of a car in virtual reality is not a novelty for the world of the automotive industry. One of the first such cases occurred in 2008, when with the release of NFS Undercover, a new Nissan 370Z appeared in the game, which had not yet been released in life.
