Apex Legends is already on the doorstep of Steam

In a few days, Apex Legends will drop by Gabe Newell's store. That is why a preload has already been opened for the game today.

However, having downloaded the game today, on November 5, you will have to download the seasonal update. Apex Legends will hit Steam at the same time as Battle Royale Maintenance Season 7 begins. It will be the biggest addition since the release of Apex. The game will feature a third map, a new Horizon Legend and the first Trident ground vehicle.

You don't need an Origin client to play Apex Legends on Steam. It will be enough to link your EA account to your Steam account.
