What's in store for Apex Legends?
Apex Legends Game Director Chad Grenier recently spoke about Apex Legend Season 7 and beyond. According to Chad, Respawn Entertainment is not working on a sequel to Titanfall 3, and Apex Legends may soon outgrow a regular battle royale.
From a conversation between the game director of Apex Legends and Eurogamer, it became known that the map of Olympus, which will appear in the seventh season of the battle royale, was originally created for Titanfall 3. Previously, Olympus had a different name and was developed as a map for solo play. However, after Respawn began working on the multiplayer battle royale, part of the map was redone.
Also during the interview, it became clear that the creators of Apex Legends are working for the future. The team develops content for many seasons ahead. Now the studio already has developments up to season 12. Recall that now the game ends with season number 6, and 7 will begin on November 4.
Finally, Grenier wondered if Respawn should turn Apex into something more? According to Chad, Respawn has a good starting point in the form of Apex Legends that can be used in other ways, and for the game itself, the company still has timed modes and other types of gameplay.
