Lee Davis joins The Initiative
Lee Davis has joined The Initiative and has worked on such projects. like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II. He was in charge of the melee animations and was one of the leaders in this process. The Initiative is part of Xbox Game Studios, and therefore the transition of a key Sony employee to the camp of their direct competitor looks intriguing.
At The Initiative, Lee Davis will serve as the chief gameplay animator, and therefore the quality of animations in Microsoft games should decently increase. In addition, another ex-Naughty Dog employee, Lauren Garcia, has joined The Initiative. In the previous studio, he was CTO, and at The Initiative, Lauren will take on the role of Senior Shader Tuner.
This is not the first time for The Initiative that former Sony employees have joined the company. In 2018, ex-producer of the God of War series, Brian Vestergaard, joined the studio's roster. Former Crystal Dynamics and Bungie employees have also recently joined The Initiative.
The team is currently working on a game that Microsoft is referring to as "AAAA". According to their statements, the budget for the unannounced project is very impressive. There are rumors on the Internet that Microsoft wants to relaunch the Perfect Dark series, which, by the way, has never appeared on computers.
