Yesterday, Blizzard Activision stunned the Paris office staff. The company announced its closure.
Since the beginning of 2019, the Versailles office has had around 400 employees. The employees were responsible for marketing, customer support and localization of Blizzard games for Europe. Previously, half of the employees of the Paris division were planned to be transferred to the London office, but after the Great Britain left the EU, Blizzard's decision changed.
However, not everything is so sad. According to French law, Activision Blizzard is now obliged to pay compensation to all employees. What awaits the former employees of the French office now is unknown. However, they promised to share details in the coming week.
