Journalists from Wired spoke with the head of the Xbox, Phil Spencer. In an interview, Spencer mentioned 8K resolution and questioned its further need for the video game industry.
However, Microsoft does not deny the format's ambition. The problem is that modern technology is far from making full use of it. It will take more than one year to popularize 8K resolution in video games, and even more to distribute and standardize the format.

Sign UpThe same position is held by the leading Xbox engineer Elizabeth Hamren. Elizabeth justifies this by the fact that even 4K TVs are not yet the standard for many users. This has contributed a lot to the fact that Microsoft is releasing the Xbox Series S for displays with a resolution of 1080-1440p.
