Astrea: Six Sided Oracles and Mechabellum Are New Free Games on Epic Games Store

Another free game giveaway has started on the Epic Games Store. This time, you can add two games to your library at once, and details have been released about which games will be free next week.

The first free EGS game you can add to your library is Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles, an unusual roguelite from Little Leo Games, where polyhedral dice are used instead of traditional cards to battle enemies. It also features attractive hand-drawn graphics and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The second free game, Mechabellum, is a dynamic auto-battler from Game River that emphasizes tactics and positioning. You command an army of robots as you battle other armies. To win, players must engage in thorough pre-match planning—from troop placement to customizing mechs for specific tasks. Both games are available for free on the Epic Games Store through October 1.

In addition, Epic Games Store announced BURIED STARS and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be available for free starting next week. Developed by LINE Games Corporation, BURIED STARS is a psychological visual novel with detective elements. The game's plot revolves around a building where a reality show is being filmed that collapses, trapping the participants under the rubble as they communicate with each other via social media. System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is, as the title suggests, an enhanced version of the classic from Nightdive Studios, released last year. It features improved character and weapon models, support for widescreen resolutions, frame rates up to 144 FPS, and cross-platform co-op.
