Roblox announces Roblox Everywhere, aiming to make games available across all platforms

At the RDC 2026 developer conference, Roblox unveiled a large-scale initiative called Roblox Everywhere. It is meant to improve the distribution of Roblox games across different platforms and devices.

As part of the initiative, developers will eventually be able to release their games as standalone apps for mobile devices, PC, and consoles. The underlying technology and services will continue to be provided by Roblox itself, so the games will remain part of a single platform even if they formally exist outside the main Roblox app.

In addition, the company also presented new improvements for game creators as well as upcoming features:

By the end of this year, players will be able to launch Roblox games directly from a game's page in the Chrome browser, without needing to install the Roblox client. The company notes that support for other browsers is planned to be added later.

It also became known that Roblox is working on offline support for single-player games. A wider rollout of this feature is targeted for around mid-2027. Thanks to it, players will be able to keep playing even without a network connection — for example, on a plane or in areas with weak internet.

The platform is also expanding support for new genres and formats: support for 2D games, sprites, orthographic cameras, and turn-based multiplayer is being added, which will allow for a wider range of projects beyond the usual 3D games.

Roblox reported that around 9,000 games have already been created using the Build AI tool, with 71% of the creators behind these projects never having used Roblox Studio before. Special attention was also given to the new Scene Generator tool, which allows game scenes to be generated from text prompts and reference images.
