Astral Ascent and Luftrausers Are New Free Games on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free game giveaway. During the week, two new games—Astral Ascent and Luftrausers—can be added to your library.

Released and published by Hibernian Workshop in 2023, Astral Ascent is a 2D platformer with roguelike elements in which you must escape from an astral prison while battling 12 different mythical guardians standing in your way. Luftrausers is a game from Vlambeer that was released back in 2014 and published by Devolver Digital. The game is an arcade flight simulator in which you play as a fighter pilot battling other pilots as well as different enemies. Both games are available for free on the Epic Games Store through September 17.

It has also been announced that next week, the Epic Games Store will be offering a free giveaway of Mindcop—a style-filled detective game from Andre Gareis—and the turn-based tactical roguelite Shogun Showdown, both of which are excellent additions to your library.

Additionally, the Epic Games Store is currently running a major sale to celebrate the season's end— the End of Summer Sale. Major titles are available at significant discounts: Resident Evil Requiem (-30%), Cyberpunk 2077 (-70%), GTA V Enhanced (-50%), Red Dead Redemption 2 (75% off), Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (20% off), Silent Hill 2 (60% off), and lots more. The sale will last until September 17 at 11 a.m. ET.
