Kakao Games Confirms Q3 2026 Launch Window for Dokkaebi World

Kakao Games has announced that Dokkaebi World, its upcoming Korean fantasy MMORPG developed by Supercat, is scheduled to launch on mobile in Q3 2026. The game is based on Myeolgwi Sudojeon, a popular fantasy web novel by Yeon Woo-sol, and is expected to open pre-registration later this month.

Originally unveiled under the codename Project OQ, Dokkaebi World combines Supercat's signature retro pixel-art style with a fantasy setting inspired by Korean folklore. According to the latest teaser, players will explore a world built around a giant sacred tree and encounter creatures and characters drawn from traditional Korean mythology.

Kakao Games says it has worked closely with the original novel's author throughout development to ensure the game's lore and world remain faithful to the source material while expanding it into an MMORPG experience.

On the gameplay side, Dokkaebi World will feature a customizable skill deck system, allowing players to collect and combine abilities to create different builds. The game will also include cooperative dungeon runs, raid bosses, clan systems, large-scale PvP battles, and character progression centered around strategic skill combinations.

With its blend of 2.5D pixel visuals, multiplayer content, and Korean mythological themes, Dokkaebi World joins a growing lineup of mobile MMORPGs scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.
