ARC Raiders Trials Season 5 Starts July 7 With a Longer Grind and New Scorta Outfit

ARC Raiders' Trials Season 5 starts July 7 at 12:00 UTC and runs until September 30 at 07:00 UTC, replacing Season 4's Blindspot outfit with a new tiered reward called The Scorta. Embark confirmed the dates and rewards in a July 1 blog post, with Season 4 wrapping the same day the new one begins.

Scorta comes in color variants tied to final placement: hit Hotshot or Cantina Legend by the end of the season and you unlock Red and Blue versions on top of the base outfit, alongside a Green Bruiser backpack, a Pressure Gauge backpack charm, a Hydraulic Pump attachment, and a "Come at me" emote. Trials themselves are ARC Raiders' weekly ranked system — five objectives reset every Sunday, scored during single topside runs since points don't carry over between raids, with players sorted into 100-person leaderboard divisions that promote or demote based on where they land each week.

The new objectives lean into forcing weapon variety rather than letting one loadout dominate the ladder: challenges now ask players to damage specific ARC units with particular weapons and to absorb Pop explosions, on top of returning objectives built around loadout diversity. Embark's own weekly preview narrows that down further, telling players to stock up on Heavy Ammo and sharpen their Raider Tools — the game's melee weapons — for the skirmish-focused objectives launching alongside the season. Embark's own framing — "we hear your feedback Raiders, and the next season of Trials is loaded with a variety of new objectives for you to grind out" — reads as a direct answer to complaints that past seasons let one meta build farm points too easily.

The same weekly preview also flags Ermal, the rotating Nomadic Envoys trader, restocking a Trailblazer weapon blueprint alongside a batch of Tellurions and rare Shoes — materials that go straight into the Converging Paths Project, the six-stage community project that closes July 27. Stage four needs three Tellurions to build Emergency Caches, and stage five needs a stack of rare, epic, and legendary Shoes for the Cabinet of Curiosities, so Ermal's stock this week lines up directly with players racing that deadline while they grind the new Trials ladder.

I think the real signal here is the length: Season 4 ran roughly ten weeks between its April 25 announcement and its July 7 close, while Season 5 stretches to about twelve. I'd tie that directly to Embark's May decision to cut major content drops down to twice a year — with the next big one, Frozen Trail, not landing until October, Trials needs to cover more calendar time on its own to keep the ranked grind from going stale between real content updates.

That also means Season 5 runs right up against Frozen Trail's release window, so expect a scramble for final rank rewards just as Embark's biggest update since launch drops on top of it.
