New Jujutsu Kaisen Game Announced for 2026

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen have a new release to look forward to this year. During the June 9 Nintendo Direct, developer poncle, best known for Vampire Survivors, and Shueisha Games officially unveiled Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton, a new action title that combines survivor-like gameplay with battle royale mechanics.

The game is scheduled to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A Unique Mix of Jujutsu Kaisen and Vampire Survivors

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton takes inspiration from the gameplay formula that made Vampire Survivors a massive success. Players will battle waves of Cursed Spirits while automatically attacking enemies, focusing instead on movement, positioning, and selecting upgrades throughout each match.

The game supports both:

• Single-player mode
• Up to 8-player PvP battle royale matches

Players must survive increasingly difficult enemy waves while competing against other participants to stay ahead on the scoreboard.

Over 20 Playable Characters

The roster includes more than 20 characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, featuring fan favorites such as:

• Megumi Fushiguro
• Kento Nanami
• And many more

Each fighter comes with unique abilities and playstyles inspired by their anime counterparts, while additional characters can be unlocked through gameplay progression.

Rule Addition System and Final Duel

One of the game's biggest features is the Rule Addition mechanic.

Players who earn enough points during a match can introduce special rules that disrupt opponents and alter the flow of the game. These effects can dramatically change a run and create new strategic opportunities.

When only two competitors remain, the match transitions into a direct 1v1 duel to determine the winner, adding a competitive twist not seen in traditional survivor-like games.

Domain Expansion and Black Flash Included

Several iconic techniques from the anime will appear as powerful special abilities.

Players can charge a dedicated meter to unleash moves such as:
