God of War Faye Spin-Off Title Reportedly Revealed: Fate of the Giants

Apparently, the next game in the God of War franchise will be a spin-off focused on Faye, which has long been the subject of rumors. Based on multiple sources, it is safe to assume the announcement will take place today during the upcoming PlayStation State of Play event.

After all, a recent report from reliable insider Tom Henderson confirms the game's presence at the show, as well as the online shooter FairGame$ from Haven Studios and a remake of Rayman Legends under a slightly updated title—Rayman Legends Retold.

The title of the God of War game about Faye may have also appeared on the ResetEra forums. And although users dismiss the subtitle The Wrath of Faye, which circulated, it is reported that the game will be called God of War: Fate of the Giants, as you can check out below:

“There's a few ways to re-arrange those words lol, but Fate of the Giants sounds right to me”

It is expected that Fate of the Giants, if the title is accurate, will serve as a prequel to God of War (2018), focusing on Faye and an exploration of East Asian mythology. The protagonist will wield a talking sword and be accompanied by an assistant with an unusual appearance reminiscent of a “gelatinous cube.” The combat system will differ significantly from previous entries, emphasizing speed and rapid attacks in a manner reminiscent of Devil May Cry. Despite the focus on Faye, Kratos is also expected to make a cameo appearance.
