Capcom’s New IP Pragmata Sold 2 Million Copies In More Than Two Weeks
Released last month, Pragmata has become a new IP launched by Capcom. The game received high ratings from critics and players alike and sold 1 million copies in just two days. The studio announced that Pragmata has crossed another important financial milestone in a very short time.
Capcom's new financial report shows that worldwide sales of Pragmata have already reached 2 million copies, a milestone the game achieved in just over two weeks—specifically, in 16 days. This is an exceptional result for a new IP and a strong indicator for Capcom, who may continue to develop the franchise. You can also check out an original greeting from one of the game's main characters, Diana, on the game's X profile.
“PRAGMATA has sold over 2 million copies worldwide!
Thank you to everyone for your support!
Here's a special drawing from Diana to celebrate!”
Regarding a potential sequel, Capcom USA COO Rob Dyer recently hinted that Pragmata could eventually grow into a franchise, as the studio “can continue to go down”. Pragmata is the latest Capcom installment, a sci-fi action-adventure game set in a near-future dystopian world on a lunar research station. You play as an android named Diana and an astronaut named Hugh, and together they must find a way out of this lunar station. Diana has the ability to hack the enemy’s security system, while Hugh is a specialist in firearms and has a jetpack.
The game is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
