First Teaser of Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Movie Revealed

Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the first teaser of the upcoming Resident Evil adaptation movie, directed by Zach Cregger (Weapons). The film’s story is not related to any of the video games, doesn’t include familiar characters, and instead focuses on a completely new story.

The film centers on a courier who becomes caught up in the events in Raccoon City during the time of Resident Evil 2. The film will also feature first-person action sequences and numerous Easter eggs and references to the franchise. You can check out the teaser trailer of Resident Evil movie below:

Earlier this month, test screenings of the film were held, and viewers spoke highly of director Zach Kragen’s new adaptation, even calling it a “horror version of Mad Max: Fury Road”. Zach Cregger has already recommended himself as great director, especially by last year’s hit horror movie Weapons, which received an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress (Amy Madigan).

Resident Evil reboot is set to premiere on September 18. Cast of the movie includes Paul Walter Hauser, Kali Reis, Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, and Johnno Wilson.
