Brawl Stars Confirms Gus Super Shield Bug as Players Face Ongoing Update Issues

Supercell has officially acknowledged a new bug in Brawl Stars, adding to a growing list of issues that have frustrated players since last week’s update. The patch significantly disrupted gameplay, with several bugs negatively affecting the overall experience. One of the most notable problems—the Oddities Shop bug—still remains unresolved for many users.

Amid these ongoing concerns, Brawl Stars General Manager Frank Keienburg addressed another issue that the community has been actively discussing: the Gus Super Shield bug.

Gus Super Shield Bug Confirmed

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Keienburg highlighted the success of the game’s latest collaboration but also admitted that the update introduced multiple problems. He noted that while the team is still working through these issues, stability is improving.

Responding to player questions in the comments, Keienburg confirmed that the unusual effect tied to Gus’s Super Shield is indeed a bug. He clarified that this effect was not intended as part of the character’s design and will be adjusted in a future fix.

Ongoing Issues Impacting Players

The Gus Super Shield glitch is just one of several recent problems. Alongside the persistent Oddities Shop bug, players have encountered additional issues affecting gameplay. One such case forced the developers to temporarily disable a major character. Another known bug involving Colette (Starr Buffie) is also expected to be resolved soon.

There have also been complaints about the Ultra Trophy Box system. Although these boxes are supposed to guarantee skins, many players reported not receiving the promised rewards.
