Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Confirmed — No Delay Despite Rumors

Epic Games has addressed recent speculation surrounding the release of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, confirming that there are no plans to delay the new season.

No Delay for Season 3

Rumors began circulating after players noticed that Ranked Quests were extended until June 21, while the current Battle Pass for Chapter 7 Season 2 is set to end on June 5. Since Ranked Quests typically expire with the season, many assumed this meant a delay was coming.

However, Epic Games clarified that quest expiration dates can be adjusted for testing and development purposes, and do not indicate any change to the season’s launch schedule.

Current Season Still on Track

Chapter 7 Season 2, known as Fortnite Showdown, launched on March 19, 2026, continuing the game’s long-running Battle Royale evolution. As one of Fortnite’s core modes, Battle Royale remains the main attraction, offering:

  • Ongoing storyline developments
  • New weapons and mechanics
  • A wide range of Battle Pass cosmetics

With more than 30 seasons released since 2017, each new season continues to generate significant anticipation among players.

What If a Delay Had Happened?

If Season 3 were postponed, it would likely push back key elements such as:

  • Story progression and seasonal Acts
  • The live event tied to Season 2’s finale
  • Opportunities to unlock additional Battle Pass rewards, including Super Styles

For now, though, none of these changes are expected.
