New Uncharted Video Game Might Be Teased by Director

It’s been almost 10 years since the latest Uncharted title, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, was released by Naughty Dog. We heard rumors circulating about the newest Uncharted game featuring Cassie, the daughter of Nathan Drake, as the main character, but for now it’s just rumors, as well as the new Uncharted video game.

Anyway, the new game series installment has been potentially teased by the director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Shaun Escayg. On his Instagram page, we posted a photo with a cannon and a landscape that is very typical of Uncharted, which involved the sea, the city, and nature. We can also see the word “Research…” above the post, and fans in the comments are thinking it could be a teaser to a new Uncharted game, as you can check out below:

For now, Naughty Dog hasn’t confirmed the studio is working on a new Uncharted title as they fully concentrate on their new IP—Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, announced back at The Game Awards 2024. However, the studio might secretly work on the third game in The Last of Us franchise, and a recent teaser from Neil Druckmann might serve as proof of that. We also heard news from Vinit Agarwal that The Last of Us Online was set to be revealed in 24 hours before the game was actually cancelled. Agarwal has worked on the game for 7 years as its director and revealed that Naughty Dog has decided to focus on making single-player titles, which is why The Last of Us Online was cancelled.
