Canadian Game Awards 2026 Nominees Revealed

This May in Toronto, the sixth Canadian Game Awards 2026 is confirmed to take place. This show is dedicated to video games developed by Canadian studios, and this year’s nominees have just been revealed.

There are 20 different categories, which are supported by three sections: Best of Awards, eSports & Creators, and Of the Year Awards. You can check out all categories and nominees below:

• Best Art Direction: South of Midnight, 33 Immortals, Eternal Strands, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
• Best Game Design: South of Midnight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Hell is Us, Eternal Strands, Battlefield 6.
• Best Score/Soundtrack: South of Midnight, Lost Record: Bloom & Rage, Eternal Strands, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
• Best Narrative: South of Midnight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Lost Redords: Bloom & Rage, Hell is Us, Wanderstop.
• Best Performance: Erica Luttrell (Battlefield 6), Momona Tamada (Assassin’s Creed Shadows), Elias Toufexis (Hell is Us), Peter Shinkoda (Assassin’s Creed Shadows), Olivia Lepore (Lost Records: Bloom & Rage).
• Best Audio Design: South of Midnight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Hell is Us, Eternal Strands, Battlefield 6.
• Best PC Game: Aloft, Foundation, Ambrosia Sky: Act One, Eternal Strands, Battlefield 6.
• Best Console Game: South of Midnight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Hell is Us, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Battlefield 6.
• Best Indie Game: Ambrosia Sky: Act One, Ctrl Alt Deal, Wandestop, Fresh Tracks, Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
• Best Moblie Game: Elsewhere Electric, LHEA and the Word Spirit, Rainbob Six Mobile, EA Sports FC 26 Mobile.
• Best VR/AR Game: Verse VR, Elsewhere Electric, Fruit Golf, Chronostrike, Prison Boss Prohibition.
• Best in Accessibility: South of Midnight, Squakross, EA FC 26, Wanderstop, Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
• eSports Player: Brandon “Dashy” Otell, Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, Adam “mada” Pampuch, Keith “NAF” Markovic.
• eSports Coach: Loic “Effys” Sauvageau, Antonin “AEC” Tran, Mervin-Angelo “Dayos” Lachica, Shaun Byrne, Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling.
• eSports Org: Shopify Rebellion, Toronto Ultra/KOI/OverActive Media, Vancouver Surge, Raptors GC.
• eSports Event: Bell Esports Challenge, Electric Clash 2025, Battle of BC 7, Call of Duty Champs, Raptors GC Tournament.
• Content Creator/Show: Victor Lucas/Electric Playground, Nicholas “NickEh30” Amyoony, Alex “Vansilli” Nguyen, Stef Sanjati, Ashley Roboto.
• Game of the Year: South of Midnight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Hell is Us, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Wanderstop.
• Studio of the Year: Compulsion Games, Rogue Factor, Tribute Games, Yellow Brick Games, Digital Extremes.

There is also a Fan Choice of the Year category, where the winner will be decided by players votes. You can give your vote here and do one per day. On May 4th, ten games with the most votes will be revealed in a final round of voting. There are more than 20 titles in the list, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Battlefield 6, EA Sports FC 26, Hell is Us, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and more.

Speaking of the records, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has the most nominees (9), with South of Midnight (8) and Hell is Us (6) behind the game. The Canadian Game Awards 2026 is scheduled for May 21.
